“How can we create a way for the green-energy users and producers in a neighborhood to connect with each other and contribute with the sharing-energy community.”
TROEF is a consortium that consists of miltiple businesses and institutions, they have the aim to create together a new layered energy ecosystem. Therefore we were asked to think about how an energy ecosystem, a community in which users and providers can exchange locally produced renewable energy, can work for the people.
During the Troef project I worked on systemic design. We used a gigamap to visualize the context around this idea. Did a lot of testing on the streets and did some co-design sessions. Eventually we gave Troef an insight in the system around their organisation. We translated the input we got into interventions. This interventions in the system helped Troef to understand what steps they to convince people to start sharing energy.
